for a large-scale Email system owned and operated by Cable and Wireless. The test harness sends random mail into
the Email system and measures the resulting reliability and performance. Access to the Email system is via terminal
emulation (Async. [Using Greenleaf Comm++],TCP/IP [Windows sockets],X.25
[Eicon]), cc:Mail [Import/Export] , X.400 [MS Exchange & MAPI] and SMTP
mail [MS Exchange & MAPI]. The
system comprises two major parts.
Around 80% is a single large C++ program several copies of which
simulate a population of email users and monitor the resulting activity
checking the results. |
